Soft Light in Keston

This painting is of Keston near London. The soft, cool light really captured my attention, the way it worked with the autumn trees. I love the colours of the cool pale green and warm bright orange grass together. And I always enjoy painting birch trees. I intentionally wanted to keep the brushstrokes very loose, to communicate the relaxed atmosphere and feel of that place.
