River Lyn III

This is a painting of a very picturesque river Lyn near Lynmouth in Devon. I have visited this place on several occasions and I was taken by it’s charm every time. Very quiet, peaceful place, just the sounds of a rushing water.

Painted with brushes and a pallet knife, with this painting I took an advantage of the transparent properties of oil paint, rather than thick layers, although more texture is added by using the palette knife.
